KIDS BOOKS!

20190830_081911.jpg

Rhymosaurs is a kids book series that blends dinosaurs and hip-hop to teach life lessons. Every print copy comes with a black & white section in the back called the "Graffiti Spot". This allows children to color the pages and remix the rhymes to create their own story.

We also have interactive audiobook versions on Audible, Spotify, Apple Music and other music platforms. The audio contains acapellas to remix, rap song version, and instrumentals for the kids to rhyme themselves. There are also digital versions for tablets and phones available.

Rhymosaurs is also an educational platform, and our team specializes in live family friendly hip-hop events with MCs, DJs, Graffiti Artists, Dancers & Beatboxers. We also provide creative writing workshops, storytime library visits and after school programs teaching the 4 Elements of Hip-Hop.

Author and Creator

Orlando Molina aka MC ZEPS was born and raised in Brooklyn NY, and fell in love with hip-hop culture while attending The High School of Art & Design in Manhattan. An aspiring rapper, he fell into the world of hosting kids dance battles while living in Oslo Norway in 2012. At the same time he began working for Audible as an audio editor and MC for events producing various rap songs for the company. Once his daughter Sultana was born in 2017, he knew he must use his rhyme skills for the youth in some way. Since his nephew Reid loves dinosaurs, he decided to mix that with hip-hop and created RHYMOSAURS. Later in 2017 his family moved to beautiful Stockton California, where the book series grew and became an educational platform. Now with his team of skilled musicians, they host live kids events, workshops, and after school programs across the globe. Orlando teamed up with his old pal from Brooklyn "oOge", who is the illustrator and artistic director of the Rhymosaurs series.

Illustrator & Artistic Director

Charles Brian Ugas aka “oOge” was born and raised on the border of Ridgewood & Bushwick in Brooklyn. He started drawing at a very young age, and was influenced by cinema, comic books and also hip-hop music. Coincidentally both he and Orlando are alumni of the same high school. Balancing various commission projects including a story for the "Puerto Rico Strong Anthology" (which won the 2019 Eisner Award) he also created his own Sci-Fi Trilogy "NEW KRYO" which has gained a nice following on Instagram. He illustrated many album covers for ZEPS in the past. So when Rhymosaurs was created, Orlando knew right away who to contact for art direction. Charles is an accomplished illustrator with an incredibly versatile style and an imagination that is unmatched in the art community.
